A child-friendly dentist in Alkmaar for a healthy smile

Good oral health starts at a young age. By introducing children to the dentist in a pleasant and relaxed manner, we lay the foundation together for healthy teeth and good oral care. At TCN in Alkmaar, we understand that every child is different. That is why we take the time to get to know your child calmly and tailor our approach to the age, character, and needs of your son or daughter.

Our goal is for a visit to the pediatric dentist not to be perceived as stressful, but rather as a positive experience. By gradually familiarizing children with the dental practice, we help prevent potential fear and build a healthy habit for the future.

Personal attention for every child

During an appointment, we examine not only the teeth but also the development of the dentition. Among other things, we check whether the teeth are growing properly, provide brushing instructions appropriate for your child's age, and advise on nutrition and oral care. This allows us to often detect and prevent problems early.

Our child-friendly approach is characterized by:

  • A quiet and familiar environment;
  • Clear explanation at your child's level;
  • Patience and personal attention during every appointment;
  • Preventive care to help prevent cavities and other dental problems;
  • Advice for parents on daily oral care.

Caring for healthy baby and permanent teeth together

A healthy set of baby teeth is important for the development of the permanent teeth. That is why we guide children from a young age through every stage of their oral health. Whether your child is visiting the dentist for the first time or has been for check-ups before, we ensure that every appointment is as pleasant as possible.

At TCN in Alkmaar, dentists, dental hygienists, and prevention assistants work closely together to provide your child with the best possible oral care. This ensures your child receives all the attention needed for a healthy smile, now and in the future.

Dentures

Every patient receives almost full reimbursement for dentures through basic health insurance. It is important to have your existing prosthesis checked by the dentist every five years. Your jaw shrinks as you get older, creating space between the jaw and the prosthesis.

To refresh the prosthesis, a layer is applied if necessary (rebasing), ensuring it fits securely again. You can wait while this is being done so that you do not have to go without a prosthesis.
