Since early 2019, we have employed a dentist implantologist who specializes in, among other things, tooth and molar extractions. In this way, we now offer you more treatments under one roof. No referral needed?

Normally, you are referred to a hospital for an appointment with the oral surgeon. With us, that is not always necessary. The dentist discusses your treatment with our implantologist beforehand to determine whether a referral is necessary.

Visiting the oral surgeon with dental anxiety

Not only our dentists, but also our dental implantologist specializes in treating patients with (extreme) anxiety. Our dental practice is fully geared towards anxious patients: from dental treatments under general anesthesia to providing a service without waiting time. Your file is known to us, and you no longer have to go to another address to be treated by an unfamiliar face. We also want to reassure our patients in this way.

My inflamed wisdom tooth had to be extracted, but this turned out to be more difficult than expected. Dentist and implantologist Pini examined it and extracted two wisdom teeth right away. I received very friendly service and am now completely free of pain.

What does an oral surgeon do?

An oral surgeon specializes in severe temporomandibular joint complaints, such as extracting difficult teeth and (wisdom) teeth and placing implants, a dentist implantologist can also perform these treatments. An implant is necessary when the root of a tooth has died and needs replacing. An implant replaces the function of a root and looks like a screw. After placement, the jawbone attaches to the titanium implant. The oral surgeon or implant dentist checks whether the implant is integrating properly, after which the dentist takes over the treatment. Additionally, the implant dentist can also place implants for the purpose of a snap-on dentures.
